Music maturity came swiftly for the now seasoned-veteran Robbert van de Corput, better known as Hardwell. At the age of 25, the young Dutch titan capped off a 10 year journey when he was crowned World’s #1 DJ in the 2013 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll, cementing his position as the electronic scenes newest superstar DJ and becoming the youngest ever winner of the coveted award. 2014 continued on to be a landmark year for Robbert, as he held onto the amazing title for a second consecutive year.
Hailing from Breda and establishing his name at the tender age of 14, his status has grown from a teenage dream to a reality as one of the world’s biggest selling superstars, his release rankings speak for themselves as he has already claimed fifteen Beatport #1’s to date. Hardwell’s live presence also continues to push forward on an unparalleled level, holding down residencies at two of the world’s most amazing super clubs including Las Vegas’s Hakkasan and Ibiza’s open-air venue Ushuaia.
As a true festival–straddling superstar, his sets have conquered arena’s at the most prestigious and crowd-pleasing of parties such as Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Future Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and – of course- his famed relationship with Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, after his 2013 performance became the stuff of legend. Clocking up a staggering 6 million views in just 8 weeks, Hardwell’s set broke all records for the most watched Ultra live broadcast during the event with over 80,000 fans tuning in at home to get a piece of the action.
As Revealed Recordings boss launched his I AM HARDWELL world tour, an ambitious concept that has seen the event span six continents including sell-out dates in Singapore, Lisbon, London, Mexico, Istanbul and Sydney. Announcing the next phase of the tour, Hardwell took to the streets of New York for a Times Square takeover where he revealed the final chapter of the world adventure will culminate in North America, completing his mammoth journey at the world renowned Madison Square Garden, for what will no doubt be a spectacle finale for Hardwell’s global-scaling party.
